services. Only basic medical services are provided on
Holbox, because there is only a health center. Serious accidents
or diseases are better treated in a hospital in Cancun. There
is a small pharmacy where you can find basic drugs.
Telephone.
Public telephones are available in the village. Recently an internet
café opened. Also, the hotel offers that service, there
you can find all the necessary means of communications.
Banks.
There are no banks on Holbox, not even ATM machines and almost
no shop accepts credit cards. However, in Xaloc traveler checks
and credit cards are accepted..
