Holbox
appears in the heart of Mayan culture, protecting its remains in the
core of the island, pampering and converting them to one of the most
impressive paradises in the Caribbean. As a pirates´ refuge, shark-hunters’
island and nowadays a quiet, traditional fishermen´s village,
Holbox island begins today to timidly face the tourism. Located in the
Natural Protected Area of Yum-Balam, it becomes the perfect place to
observe the nature living by its own rules, used to the human presence
that doesn’t interfere with its processes. |
